Objective=    First Aid is a subject that Should be learnt by each and every individual. With basic knowledge of this section. Anybody can save numerous lives by their helpful and quality participation during the time of casualty. First Aid does not need any costly equipment or highly skilled manpower. It only requires basic knowledge and will to participate during te hour of need. These students who will assist the surgeons will also be regarded as a qualified personal with basic knowledge of medical science. He can act anywhere, anytime, andin any situation to serve a patient when and where a doctor cannot reach. Our endeavour is to make personal qualified enough to serve the poor and needy at times of real need. Their quick decision and action will to be a boon for those whose life is at stake.

          INTRODUCTION = First aid is the immediate treatment given to the victims (suffering people), of trauma, (injury) or sudden illness before any medical help is made available. 

OBJECTIVE OF FIRST AID. 

 1. TO PRESERVE LIFE 

2. TO PREVENT FURTHER INJURY

3. TO RELIEVE PAIN

4. TO MAKE MEDICAL CARE AVAILABLE AT THE EARLIEST. 

THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES SHOULD BE PRESENT IN A FIRST AID PROVIDER. 

1. SHOULD HAVE THE POWER OF GOOD OBSERVATION. 

2. MUST POSSESS SELF-CONFIDENCE AND BE ABLE TO REMAIN CALM UNDER STRESS. 

3. BE ABLE TO LEAD, TAKE CONTROL OF THE SITUATION AND GET HELP FROM ONE LOOKERS. 

4. BE KNOWLEDGE ENOUGH AS TO WHICH INJURIES NEED TO BE TREATED FIRST. 

5. BE TACTFUL ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH ANXIOUS RELATIVES. 

  PRINCIPLE OF FIRST AID. 

1. REACH THE SITE OF ACCIDENT AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. 

2. DON'T WASTE TIME ASKING UNNECESSARY QUESTIONS

3. FIND OUT THE CAUSE OF INJURY. 

4. FIND OUT WHETHER THE PATIENT IS ALIVE, DEAD, CONSCIOUS OR UNCONSCIOUS. 

5. DETERMINE THE PRIORITY OF FIRST AID,Eg. STOP BLEEDING FROM THE SITE OF INJURY. 

6. ARRANGE MEDICAL HELP IN THE ORDER OF SERIOUSNESS OF EVENT. 

7. KEEP A RECORD OF PATIENT AND A DETAIL OF EVENTS. 

8. KEEP THE PATIENT WARM AND COMFORTABLE AS FAR AS POSSIBLE AND REASSURE HIM.

                   When giving first aid treatment to any casualty it is important to work to plan. " First Aiders" Are trained in routines that can be applied to many situations. Only when the casualty is out danger  an you begin to treat illness or injury. 

  1.2.1 DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT 

                       In most situations that require first aid, there will be no life-threating danger. You will simply be assisting a conscious casualty, whose recovery from some minor injury or illness is not in doubt. However, in every case your aim is to discover what is wrong with the casuality and to give prompt correct treatment in a logical order
